Anticipated to surpass the Thunder Arena in economic impact, the amphitheater promises substantial benefits including job creation and local business stimulation, contributing significantly to Canadian County’s growth.
Notes Live's commitment to quality ensures the Sunset Amphitheater will be a leading venue, offering family-friendly entertainment and contributing to the cultural vitality of our area.
The project has received unanimous approval from the Planning Commission, emphasizing its well-considered design to minimize any potential noise or traffic impacts on the community.
The venue is not just about concerts; it’s a place for community gatherings, cultural festivals, and family events, designed to enrich our social fabric and create memorable experiences.
The amphitheater is expected to boost property values and attract quality businesses, moving us away from congested housing and commercial saturation, towards a more thriving local economy.
Supported by state leaders, the Sunset Amphitheater is seen as a key to enhancing Oklahoma’s appeal as a tourist destination, promising a legacy of entertainment and community pride.
A detailed Traffic and Parking Analysis by Kimley Horn has been conducted, considering current and future development as well as infrastructure improvements. With efficient parking management and multiple ingress points, the project is designed to minimize traffic impact, ensuring smooth flow even during large events. Additionally, the city has committed to widening Sara Road to 4-lanes and SW 15th Street to 5-lanes. The Turnpike Authority has committed to adding south bound on-ramps as well.
Notes Live is committed to being a good neighbor. The project includes comprehensive sound abatement systems to keep noise within allowable limits, including physical barriers, advanced sound technology, and operational strategies like directional stage placement to minimize impact on surrounding areas. A Monthly Noise Audit Report will be submitted directly to the the City Planning Commissioners, ensuring adherence to these standards.
The venue will host a variety of family-friendly events, focusing on Country & Western and classic rock genres. All performances are designed to be inclusive, avoiding "fringe elements" and ensuring a positive, communal atmosphere. Additionally, the venue will host cultural festivals, graduation ceremonies, and family movie nights, contributing to the community's cultural fabric.
To respect the community, all shows are agreed with the developer and city planning commission to conclude by 11 p.m. This ensures that events do not disrupt the local residents' nightly routines or the nearby school's operations.
The amphitheater is expected to have a substantial economic impact, surpassing even that of major venues like the Thunder Arena. By attracting visitors, creating jobs, and stimulating local businesses, it will significantly contribute to our county’s prosperity. The project will boost the Mustang School System and Canadian County through increased ad valorem taxes and contribute to road, bridge, and infrastructure improvements.
Well-designed venues like the Sunset Amphitheater typically elevate property values in their vicinity. By enhancing the appeal of Mustang Creek Crossing and promoting a high-quality, family-oriented atmosphere, the project is expected to benefit homeowners and local businesses alike.
The safety and security of all attendees are paramount. The Sunset Amphitheater will employ a full security detail for the interior and parking areas, including one security officer per 250 cars. Furthermore, intersections will be manned to safely and efficiently manage traffic flow, ensuring a secure environment for everyone.
